How many ways can your organization’s brand be leveraged? Before you count, pause for a moment and do a mental exercise – put your brand and all that it stands for in the middle of a table. Now, step back and objectively evaluate what you see. What do you observe when you consider: * Culture – is the culture in use the same as the espoused culture? Is your company “honest” about what it stands for? What’s the mood of your workforce? * People – Right people? Trained? Equipped? Do they know why their contribution is important? * Appearance – Does everything that is attached to your company look and feel right? Communication…signage…office… It’s a struggle to maintain high quality in all areas because situations change and sometimes things fall through the cracks; but a company that wants their brand to work as hard as possible will be doing regular evaluation and maintenance. When a brand is working well, it engages people and creates a “sticky” environment that’s full of opportunities to grow business.
